Watchdog editorial note: Hey! Finally a good Pyramid Scheme!!! I used to love hanging out in Lebanon, an uncle of mine taught at the American University there. Great country, good beaches and nice people. Then Hizbullah turned the country into a terrorist mess. If you are running a good hot pyramid scheme I will give you good contacts to get introduced to Hizbullah terrorists and throw in some Hamas leaders too! GO get them!
Sept 12 2009 –Lebanon: The Hizbullah terror group is thought to have lost a fortune as a result of investing in a pyramid scheme, the London-based paper Asharq Al Awsat reports. Per the paper, Lebanese Shi'ite business broker Salah Ezzedine scammed hundreds of investors from the Gulf states and thousands poor villagers from South Lebanon out of $600 million to $1.3 billion (low estimates). Ezzedine promised returns of 25-55%. He was arrested at 2 Sept 2009. Hizbullah’s loss is pegged at $680 million dollars, a huge chunk out of it’s cash flow from Iran who supports the terror organization.

Demonstrations blame government for job loss
Saturday, 19 July 2008 - MACAU TIMES - Ed. Note: Macau is next to Hong Kong. Macau was marked by a second demonstration yesterday, with around 400 people turning up at the Triangle Park in the northern district to call on the government for their jobs back. Organisers blame the government for loosing their jobs when it approved a bill to criminalise pyramid schemes. Pyramid schemes are illegal in many countries, including Hong Kong and the mainland, as well as overseas in the United States, Great Britain, Malaysia, Australia and New Zealand.
In October last year, the government presented a proposed bill which labelled pyramid schemes as illegal activities. Earlier this year, lawmakers approved the government's move and as a consequence several companies which operated under the scheme were forced to close.
For a business to be labelled a pyramid scheme in Macau, it will have to be a business, which regardless of selling physical goods, involve a great number of people, who have to pay “joining fees” or “investment fees” when joining the so-called business.
In some cases owners kept the investment money and did not distribute it among its employees. And that was the reason for riots - demonstrations. Those who ran the companies kept all investments put into it and have left the rest of the employees empty-handed. Editors Notes: Actually it is my 20 year opinion this is what most pyramid schemes do.
“We weren't entitled to our return investments,” one of the demonstrators said yesterday, adding that people had sold their cars and homes to invest in the scheme or business and have now lost everything “because the government ordered these businesses to shut down.” Editors Notes: Actually it is my 20 year opinion the first people in the pyramid scheme had already stole your money. Either the owners were going to grab the $$$ and run or the pyramid collapses and you lose it any how to the first people in who promoted the pyramid.
