BUT TO MAKE UP FOR IT - THEY DIE QUICKLY
The Matrix is really a bad pay to try to make money with It limits BOTH Width and Depth! In the long run the money that comes out of a Matrix is ½ of other MLM Pay Plans and it takes twice as much work.

The Binary and the Unilevel have become the major pay plans of growth MLM’s. Why? The Binary pays unlimited depth. The Uni-level pays unlimited width. They don’t fence in leaders and restrict income so they have won the titles of top growth and income pay plans.
Today there is only one major MLM company left that is a Matrix and that is Melaluca started in the late 1980’s all the rest died! There is Extreme Research that is an unlimited width matrix that is working. Those are the only two solid running matrixes out of 1000's come and gone (see list below) New Matrix companies live about 8 to 14 months and fade out. The Matrix is sold on “Spillover” and when the lazy people join looking for free handouts you have a “rotten wood” at the center core of the pay plan. In Europe there is one MLM Matrix telephone company surviving Tuscali, however if we look behind the scenes it just borrowed 150 million Euro for debt financing so we can’t say that it is too hot.
The “LAW” (Regulators) around the world hate the Matrix because it is used for about 80% of the scams on the Internet. It not only has a bad reputation, but any company using it makes themselves a target to be investigated by local and national governments. The UK Office of Fair trade just listed the “Matrix” itself as a Scam. Meaning that if it is a Matrix don’t join!

Dear Mr. Cook,
I appreciate everything you're doing to protect people like myself. Specifically my wife and I, we're retired on a fixed income. I got involved with network marketing for supplemental income. Wow, what I have learned in the past 12 to 18 months has been quite an experience. This first thing that was brought to my attention was what are called doublers, lost $1500 in four weeks. The next long term investment was CEC and Reality Millions, both sites are down, so I'm out another $4,000. Then my golfing partner told me about a situation for $50.00. An organization called Financial Freedom Unlimited, Inc. I figured, how could I get hurt for $50 bucks? The fellas who ran the Company seemed to be good guys, a little difficult to understand, however, they presented a plan that seemed like it would work. What my friend didn't explain to me was the fact that they were selling 10 Packs. In other words, I was asked to purchase 10 - $50.00 spots. The deal was, I pay $300 and get the financial benefit of $500. I bought ten of them for a total of $3,000.00. I was wrong again, and for the last time. Let me explain further.
Last night, August 30th, on the Financial Freedom conference call, the President and Vice-President made an announcement that they shut down Financial Freedom Unlimited, Inc. as a result of legal advice from their attorney. Then, in their next statement, they began making reference to their new Company Total Care, Unlimited, Inc. I would like to know where the $6,150,000, that's six million dollars, went to. I know that the boys have a good heart, however, I tend to believe that their pockets are full as well. I couldn't understand what they were making reference to about their new healing products that they claim will cure cancer and a number of other diseases.
My wife made me promise to quit network marketing and she also requested that I not sign my name to this letter. She doesn't want our good names placed on the Internet. I'm sure you can respect that. You and I have similar backgrounds; I'm former military as well. This has given me a chance to vent my frustrations and the hurt from financial disappointment. Again, I'm writing this letter not to diminish any particular individuals reputation, I just don't want to see innocent people loose the kind of money that I have. Maybe you can do a special in your column. You don't need to mention names or the Company involved, just your experienced advice so others won't make identical mistakes. I'm thankful for your efforts to protect the public. Keep up the good work.

I have to make comment about the virtual disappearance of matrix sites based in the United States. Is anybody aware of any US based matrix site that is still operating? and by operating, I mean, still attempting to cycle customers?
I know that by going down the closed matrix site list, there are many US matrix sites on it, but if you take a deeper look at the sites, most haven't been updated in many, many months, which to me, is basically a closed matrix site.
With this decline of matrix sites in the US in the past year, including the major pro-matrix forums that cover the US sites, its interesting to still see the UK folks attempting to make the matrix scheme work. I personally can't see any other ultimate fate for the UK based matrix sites (within a year or so), except for falling into the same ultimate end.
Are the UK matrix folks doing something different? I'm not sure I see anything different, except for the supporters. If I was new to the matrix 'program' and contemplating joining, and saw the 'program' fail in one country, I would have to be skeptical about why it would work in another country, even if only minor changes were made ...
