DID MOMENTIS ENERGY DALLAS HAVE A RUN IN WITH THE TEXAS AG?
They pulled their video of their energy saving device off their presentation page!
We certainly know that the Texas AG takes a dim view of such devices!
Our AG contact out on vacation and nothing on the PR releases yet so far so good?

ENERGY SAVING GADGETS TEXAS AG GOES NUTS
The engineers who tested the supposed energy-saving products at the University of Texas at Austin concluded that the Xpower Energy Saver could produce no more than a 0.06 percent reduction in electric consumption in an average house. The Attorney General’s laboratory expert similarly concluded that the Mega Power Saver could provide, at best, no more than one percent total energy savings. According to the state’s expert, the devices have no effect on the life of household appliances, despite the defendants’ claims that the Xpower Energy Saver allows appliances to “run about 10% cooler.” The lab testing also revealed the products are, in reality, ordinary capacitors, which are often used in electronic circuits to store energy or to differentiate between high-frequency and low-frequency signals. Capacitors are regularly used by electricians, and they can be purchased for less than $20.

FORUM TECHNOLOGY GONE – MYXEDIA.COM TRAFFIC DROPPING

Jan 30 2009 - XEDIA went to their MLM lawyer and pointed out that the WatchDog made a mistake in the link!  That part was ok -  Exedia was right!  The Website is MyExpedia.com & The drop is actually 66.8%  NOT 66% See graph above! They are also contesting my assumptions based on the Attorney General's findings so I think I will drop by the Texas AG Office and see what they think.  SEE Below: More Coming!!

WILL TEXAS ATTORNEY GENERAL ACCEPT XEDIA'S EXPERT
TO VALIDATE NEW EXEDIA PRODUCTS NOW BEING SOLD?
AG FINAL SETTLEMENT DUE FEB 2009?

Here's How They Work Acording to Xedia!
Exedia pitch line: XPS Electricity Management Systems (XPS100 - XPS200R - XPS208) improve the Power Factor by reducing the amount of reactive power that the load draws from the utility company. This is accomplished by supplying the reactive power locally at the load by the use of specifically designed capacitors. These capacitors store the reactive power needed for stabilizing electric current within an inductive load. Therefore, the amount of reactive power purchased from the power company results in "lower utility costs if the power factor clause is enforced or the utility charges for the kVA demand."

Special Note: When the AG hit Exedia (see AG TRO below) on it's products and we quote:
"unless Defendents have in their possesion at the time of the selling, mailing, printing, giving, disseminating, advertising, or referencing, double-blinded, peer-reviewed scientific evidence substantiating such representations."

So Now we have one scienctific report below
But not a double blind study
Not Peer reviewed

NOT EXACT SETTLEMENT DUE FED 2009 ---THEORETICAL RUMOR XEDIA SETTLED WITH AG IN DEC 2008
TEXAS AG No release on ?? settlement.  XEDIA says they can sell product with no energy savings claims.  Well Xedia Distributors are still out there on the web TODAY swearing that Xedia can save 25% electrictity and that makes it a high probability  the AG will be back again - almost a sure bet!  Called AG they said would get back to me - a month ago, so something is stirring!

ELECTRICITY SAVERS = MLM PLUG IN FRAUD
MLM XEDIA STILL “PLUGGING” ALONG MLM COMPANY FORUM GONE
The WatchDog has been getting inquiries about MORE CAPACITOR ELECTRICAL MLM SCAMS + Xedia and Greg Dockery + More "Save Electricity scams" with a plug in device.  Your Editor came out of an electrical family and is familiar with the capacitor in a can electricity scam. The electrical capacitors in a can were sold in Home Depot at $39.95 for about 3 months and they pulled them!   The Texas AG started investigating MLM Company Forum Technologies & Xedia when Xedia was the supplier for Forum.   Then  Xedia went from being a supplier to doing their own MLM which is staggering around.  Takes some nerve after the AG of Texas whacks your product.  Read below (2007 investigation) Dockery made some less than truth full claims about his past.  Also AG Action files links below are labeled Xedia!

Side Note: I had met with the Founder of Forum Technologies for a lunch and told him that the Matrix MLM Compensation Pay Plan has the highest death rate of MLM Companies of any legal pay plan with a company selling products.   Forum kept staggering around changing the sickly matrix pay plan and never thrived.

May 2007 - 2009 update - UR Editor: It is my opinion, created by suspicion from inbound calls from legal authorities, that this is a mess.  Gregg Dockery provided MLM Forum Technologies with product – they differed, and Dockery started his own MLM company, Xedia for energy savings. Now Xedia's traffic is dropping!

DOCKERY FIRST RESEARCH
From  EXEDIA website, about president Greg Dockery, which we quote:
"Based on some extensive research he had done, Greg decided that a device that would let a person receiving a call know who was calling before answering the phone could be designed, and so he designed one!  This new innovation was called “Caller ID”. The only problem was that for his product to work, the telephone company had to redesign some of it’s equipment to support it.  Dockery took the idea to AT&T.  They indicated a strong interest and a willingness to make the necessary adjustments in their equipment to accommodate the idea.  Based on what they said, and remember Greg was only seventeen at the time, Greg and his father in law put together a group of investors and built 25,000 pieces of the device to be ready when the needed upgrades in equipment at AT&T had been completed.  Valuable time went by and the necessary changes had still not taken place.  Something significant did, however take place.  AT&T shared the caller id idea with a well known telecommunications company.  This company examined the plans and the prototype of the product. The company was convinced the idea would be a spectacular commercial success.   This well-known company then did some creative work of their own and came up with a way to go forward with the project without including Greg Dockery in any way!  In other words, Greg’s idea and the device he had invented to make it work were, to use plain words, stolen."

Editor Note: In our opinion and research: the claim above sounds shaky - in patent research and web no AT&T mentioned:

NEXT ITEM OF RESEARCH
From  EXEDIA website screen in screen TV, about president Greg Dockery which we quote:
"About the same time as Greg was working on Caller ID for telephones, he came up with the idea that would allow two different pictures be viewed on the same TV screen at the same time.  The technology required to do this was a device that Greg had developed plus some changes in the “tuners” in the TV unit itself. This new invention was known as “N-TRAscreen” picture-in-picture for your television.Based on this, Greg decided to manufacture the unit that would be attached to the TV and build these units for the major TV manufacturers.  Greg went first to Toshiba who expressed a strong interest in the idea but could not sell consumer products in the USA because of some previous conflicts with the United States government. Toshiba recommended that one of its strategic partnered companies who was a major player in the TV manufacturing business at that time.  This company sent a delegation to Amarillo, where Greg lived, and were very interested in the idea but did not know how to integrate it into existing TV sets.  Greg showed them how!  They left with a complete set of working drawings, all the electrical schematics plus a working model of the device. Greg Dockery was still very young but he was getting smarter in the ways of some of Americas leading electronics giants.  It was at this point that he began the practice of inserting a part in each prototype that had absolutely nothing to do with the actual functioning of the product.  Such a part was in the unit he gave to this well-known company.  Approximately sixty days later, a friend sent Greg a brochure announcing the coming availability of a TV set with a “picture on picture” feature.  Greg immediately called his contact with the company and asked point blank if the prototype he had furnished them was involved in any way with this new announcement.  He was assured that it was not. As soon as the new TV sets were available, Greg ordered one and took it apart.  Sure enough, there was the device he had given to the company including the part that had nothing to do with the functioning of the unit! Once again, a young inventor had been victimized."

Editor Note: In our opinion, here is patent information on "picture on picture" for TVs. No TV manufacturers are assignee.
