Richard and Tammie Fugo worked Starlight between April 1996 to August 14, 2000 when they got a fax from the company telling them they were terminated.
In four years the Fugos have worked themselves up to Emerald and were just a step away from the top position of Diamond. The fax they received told them they were being terminated for "Ethics" violations like being too bossy to their downline ( Editor: ooooh what a problem)! Fugos attorney asked for $1.3 million based on the age and earnings expectations of the victims. Starlight also pointed out that the Fugos had lost money first 3 out of four years they had been in Starlight and that there wasn't any residual income for the future. (Ed. Note: bet that is not what the company says when recruiting). The logic of spending money and working hard to build a future won the day! The Jury loved it and gave Fugos $50,000 for lost earnings and $600,000 for future earnings. Of course, Starlight says they will appeal the case.
The heroes of this case were Counselor David Eisenstein, attorney, and Len Clements of Market Wave as, expert witness.
