MLM ANALYSIS UPDATE MAY 2005 - MLM TRUTH AND LIES!
MLM NUTRITIONALS UNDER ATTACK IN THE U.S. ?  NO!
EUROPE = YES

THE EU DIRECTIVES

In 2002 the European Union Governments approved The Food Supplements Directive.  THIS IS NOT CODEX WHICH IS United Nations SPONSORED.  The EU Directive created a list of ingredients that could be used in supplements.  It would have killed off 5,000 nutritional items that could not be used without (in short) drug lab testing.  I was to go in effect 1 August 2005.

The Alliance For Natural Health “took the EU Directive to the European Court of Justice.  The Advocate General of the Court said the Directive infringed on EU principles of “legal protection and sound administration.  Normally the Court follows the Advocate Generals advice 4 out of 5 times.

The Advocate General also noted that if EU lawmakers correct the deficiencies the Directives could be into place.

So the big Drug Companies such as Bayer that own Germany get another shot at controlling natural nutrition.  Cross your fingers!  They may buy off the EU legislature!

CODEX UP DATE -- SEE BELOW
When you see U.S. Soldiers in U.N. uniforms (fat chance) you might see the FDA recommend that CODEX be adopted.  At which the FDA will close their doors and run!
SEE MORE CODEX SCAMS BELOW

Scam = People asking you for money because CODEX is coming!  Read paragraph below

1.  TRUTH = CODEX is out of the United Nations and has no binding power on the U.S.  It would have to be approved by the FDA.  No UN regulations have been adopted by the U.S. for internal control inside America.  If the FDA even remotely looked like they would adopt Codex that might be the last straw to Congress disassembling the FDA mess.  Codex is a commission under the U.N. World Health Organization to standardize world food standards & consumer protection/and ensuring International fair trade.   Could it take the U.S. to the World Trade Organization Court?   No way that the U.N. could spend money to do that.  The U.N. now clutters up New York with big black limos with diplomatic plates sucking up parking spaces.   THE CODEX MESSAGE IS A SCAM TRYING TO GET YOU TO DONATE MONEY!

2. TRUTH  Now the real bad news!  European Union Nutritional Directives coming into force EUROPE may be a DANGER to U.S. companies doing business in Europe.  People in the UK are fighting it tooth and nail (lawsuits).  The European Union Directives are almost as restrictive as the UN Codex.   Right now unless something changes it is likely (not positive) that  U.S. MLM Companies cannot ship products into the E.U. after 1 August 2005 unless they comply with the EUROPEAN UNION Nutritional Directives.

3. LIE = The scam email about CODEX being implemented in the U.S. started circulating in Nov 2004.  It is worded to sell people that they are about to loose their rights to buy dietary supplements, vitamins and minerals in the U.S.   It is a lie and usually there is a link to someone collecting money.  Now, a defense for some, I have noticed that some the links given go to good guys.

4. LIE = Congress is about to kill your right to nutritionals!!   Fat Chance!  In 2003, two  bills that proposing the regulation of dietary supplements (S. 722, the "Dietary Supplement Safety Act of 2003," and H.R. 3377, the "Dietary Supplement Access and Awareness Act") were introduced into the Senate and House of Representatives.  Neither one got out of committee for a floor vote.   That means that with the end of the 108th Congress in 2004 they DIED!   Dead, gone, Kaput!
