IT; TURN OVER DUTIES TO THE PENTAGON!

FRIENDLY FIRE -FDA APPROVED DRUGS KILL 100,000 AND INJURE 2.5 MILLION A YEAR!

In the last 10 years, deaths from prescription drug errors increased at a higher rate than any other cause of deaths except AIDS, a recent study showed. Another study showed that 6.7% of patients overall had serious drug reactions and 0.32 % died! Adverse drug reactions ranked between the fourth and sixth largest killer of Americans! The Director of Public Citizen Health Research Group, Dr. Sidney Wolfe, said he thought the numbers were fairly accurate. The FDA has created one of the most complex systems in the world to regulate pharmaceutical drugs, yet these drug disasters happen. This indicates that the FDA, "Drug Watchdog" for the U.S., has failed in its thinking and operations.

Can you imagine if the United States were in a war and the military got 100,000 troops killed by accident in one year? That is almost twice the number that died in Vietnam in 20 years of war! The Pentagon would be burned to the ground, the Joint Chiefs of Staff would be hung, and the military budget would be eliminated. Solution? Shut the FDA down and transfer the responsibility to the military. The military already does food inspection, which is one of the major functions of the FDA. The rest would be a matter of military doctrine. Find the problem and attack it! This is worse than war! 100,000 people a year are dying from FRIENDLY FIRE and nothing is being done about it!

FDA ORDERS DESTRUCTION OF BOOKS - NAZI GERMANY 1934 BACK?

DALLAS, TX -In a dumb move, FDA officials threatened legal action against Texas-based Stevita Co., importers of a sweet-tasting herbal dietary supplement, Stevia -for distributing books and literature about their product. The latest volley in the bitter battle has been fired at Texas-based Stevita Co. by some heavy-handed Feds. The FDA seems to have forgotten the U.S. Constitution guaranteeing freedom of speech and expression. FDA Compliance Officer, James R. Lahar faxed a letter to Stevita Co. addressing the destruction of 2,500 books he deemed "offending." The letter further threatens that investigators would conduct an inventory and "witness the destruction of the cookbooks, literature, and other publications for the purpose of verifying compliance" upon visiting Stevita Co. for a fourth time this year. One of three books in question is The Stevia Story, "A Tale of Incredible Sweetness & Intrigue." No surprise the FDA wants to destroy Chapter four of the book titled: ''What's wrong with the FDA?" Is the FDA turning into a bunch of 1934 Nazi era jack-booted Nazi thugs? We can see separation of third party material from the product. But, to require destruction of the books? This is absolutely nuts! The U.S. military has done some nutty things but never anything to trample on our constitution like this order to destroy books. If James R. Lahar were a military officer, he would be in Fort Leavenworth right now or Shimea Island, Alaska. The FDA is an undisciplined bureaucratic nightmare. Only the military can save us!

FDA CONDUCTING GUERRILLA WAR WITHOUT CONGRESSIONAL APPROVAL

The sad part is that they are doing it against the American people with our money! The Dietary Supplement Health and Education Act passed several years ago and now, the FDA is trying to screw up the law by writing some very stupid regulations (you should read this mess) to give them backdoor Gestapo power over nutritional products. The FDA proposed "Regulations on Statements Made for Dietary Supplements Concerning the Effect of the Product on the Structure and Function of the Body" are garbage! These proposed regulations by inference classify headaches, aging and pregnancy as diseases. It makes staying well by using vitamins, herbs and mineral disease prevention. Guess what? Saying anything close to that makes them prescription drugs! It would be unlawful for someone selling arthritis helpers (chondritin and glucosmine sulfate) to say it did anything to improve the condition. If you sell a product that helps cholesterol levels, it would have to go through the multi-million-¬dollar process of becoming a drug. The FDA has screwed up regulating drugs -why give them dictatorial powers over nutritional products? On top of that, the FDA charged off over 100 man-years to put it out. In government terms, that is $4,000,000 of our tax money wasted. The Pentagon would never waste money like this on deceptive practices!
