30 Dec 2006 – Stanley Home Products one of the founders of MLM & Fuller Brush an MLM predecessor (with conversion to MLM 15 years ago) have been sold. The Parent Company CPAC Inc., announced they would be sold to Buckingham Capital Partners for $42.8 million. A concern to the MLM Distributors was an ignorant press release that said the 600 employees (NO DISTRIBUTORS) of CPAC would be cared for. This press release was like a shot at the good hard working MLM folks that have worked these brands hard. Over 11 complaints have been received at the www.mlm-dra.org from Fuller/Stanley folks worried if they are going to be shafted (commission cuts). Buckingham Capital Partners must have some real dummies in charge, the press release was like a threat to the MLM Distributors! The deal will close the first quarter of 2007, or will it if all Distributors take off?? Instead Buckingham will be laying off those 600 employees at CPAC! Happy New Year HUH!

This is the same type of third party literature that is in every health food store in the nation. J.I. Rodale is a hero to American people. He fought the FDA and FTC through the courts for years to maintain printed “Freedom of Speech” for third party literature that DOES NOT have a company name on them. Our hero J.I. died on the Dick Cavett Show in front of the millions of people blasting the FDA and FTC. Today, Rodale press is still one of the largest publishers of health related magazines and books (over $600 million a year). 22 June 2006 – You need to get another letter, or your first one out the Federal Trade Commission using the Distributor Rights template/suggestions. The DRA is the only sample letter out there that points out the silly FTC Biz Opp proposal would EXPOSE WOMEN DISTRIBUTORS AND THEIR CHILDREN EXPOSED TO SEXUAL PREDATORS. If you sent a whimpy letter before from a whimpy sample – Do it again use this one! STOP THE FTC!!

21 June 2006 – An Old friend of mine started Advocare out of Dallas. He died, now I bet he is rolling over in his grave. Advocare has done some real strange Distributor Terminations. Here are the notes on the investigation that the WatchDog has started. When companies start termination of Distributors for weird reasons they usually start to float to the top.

18 June 2006 – Now it seems that Omstar 1280DX (see website below) has crawled into a snakepit. They are selling product to aaTCM - AA Turbo Charge Marketing, Inc. A massive email blast by Phil Piccolo (click for Phil’s history) laid claim that he’s the mastermind behind aaTCM. It’s verified that Piccolo is trying selling regional positions for big bucks. If anyone is fooled by Phil’s Christian b.s. I have a tape were he called my wife several years ago. It is so vile we would have to hide the Audio from Women and kids. Does this product have the required EPA test for gasoline engines? SEE LATEST SHOCKING NEWS FOR ADDITIVE SELLERS!

16 June 2006 -- Magnets are back! They are one the favorites of the FTC to whack (Dallas). APPGas is back! They have almost the same website as they did when the Missouri AG shut them down (Dallas). APPGas raised prices to $499 so they can try to pay $50 a month. You would get a gas card for $150 a month with $200 worth of gasoline on it. Well, you would have, if the cards had worked. That is why the AG in Missouri got them last time. Switching from Dallas (the home of shaky gas deals?) to the west coast, the fuel additive company Omstar initiated arbitration proceedings against Ethos (settled once). 2 May 2006 – Your Editor had time to go through the new Biz Opp rules the FTC wants to put in place. They look terrible! Here some really silly things that I do not think will help stop scams one bit. I will have the full Rule Making PDFup in a day or two. Meantime here is my analysis:
1. Seven days before a prospect signs up and pays money they will have to sign your MLM Company disclosure document. Your company will have to spend money to store these written pieces of paper. So get our your old fax machines or... expect to have a big Fedex bill sending these disclosures around.
2. Want to wait 7 days? That is what the FTC wants you to do! You will have to wait seven days after the prospect
signs the disclosure form to sign them up and get their money to your company.
3. The FTC is saying the Biz Opp disclosure form will only be one page! Fat chance, by next year it will be 2 pages
and probably be 10 pages in 10 years.
4. They want more people to handle the paperwork. Oh great, a bigger government! Where is Ronald Reagan??
5. Will it stop scamsters? No! See Below!
6. In the draft rule the FTC quotes their so called attack on Pyramid Schemes they quote their takedown of 2extreme. Yes they did, 2 years too late and after your WatchDog had helped people that had been scammed out of $30 K send complaints to their AG's and he FTC. This was over 20 older people taken for over $30k@ .... Two years later the FTC moves! They also quote Equinox who was hitting people for at least $5000. The FTC limit was $500 and it took them years to do anything. In Fact it was when we (The MLM Watchdog) got Equinox on ABC's 20/20 that the FTC was forced to get off their buns and did something about shutting Equinox down.
7. The Federal regulation is dropped to zero dollars from $500 to have to have the disclosures in #1 signed.
8. The FDA tricked the National Nutritional Foods Association on Good Manufacturing Practices for Manufacturers and
came out with rule (which in effect are laws) that were bad. It seems that the FTC may be copying from the
FDA bad playbook. No open vote on this... the FDA and FTC Commissioners vote behind closed doors!
9. In effect this proposed Biz Rule by the FTC is a law. The problem is that our elected Senators and Congressmen are not voting on the new rule. Just 5 FTC Commissioners that are appointed - not elected - behind closed doors!
